Gürsel Tekin, who resigned from the CHP with scathing remarks, explained the background of his resignation during a live broadcast. Criticizing Özgür Özel and the party leadership, Tekin stated, "I couldn't reach anyone. I mean, Gürsel Tekin has dedicated his life to this, given 40 years. I couldn't reach any of the party executives. I couldn't reach the Deputy Chairmen. I sent a message to the Honorable Chairman. What does this mean? Are we not human? Whose phone call have I ever ignored until today?"

Announcing his resignation on his social media account, Tekin criticized the party leadership with harsh words.
Tekin, whose reason for resigning was a matter of curiosity, explained the background of his resignation from the CHP during a live broadcast on Sözcü TV.
"I SPOKE WITH ÖZEL AND İMAMOĞLU"
Explaining that he had spoken with Özgür Özel and Ekrem İmamoğlu before making the decision to resign, Tekin said, "I don't care about my candidacy. Before making this application, I spoke with the Honorable Chairman and Mr. İmamoğlu. They could have said to me: 'You are not in our hearts. We will continue with other friends.' I am not eager for anything. I am not chasing after rent, my life has been spent in struggle."
Stating that he had prepared his resignation letter 15 days in advance, Tekin said, "I am someone with a clean history in the CHP. Only I, God, and my wife know how difficult it is to write a resignation letter. I wrote that letter 15 days ago."
"I COULD NOT REACH ANY OF THE PARTY EXECUTIVES"
Raising his voice during the live broadcast to express his reaction to the CHP leadership, Tekin explained the reason for his resignation with these words:
"The reason is this; I couldn't reach anyone. I mean, Gürsel Tekin has dedicated his life to this, given 40 years. I couldn't reach any of the party executives. I couldn't reach the Deputy Chairmen. I sent a message to the Honorable Chairman. What does this mean? Are we not human? Whose phone call have I ever ignored until today? I have been in the CHP for 40 years and I have never seen such a period."
