He flew into a rage after being asked, 'Do you believe Erdoğan would betray the Turkish nation?': He threatened the student

Akif Çağatay Kılıç, Chief Advisor to the AKP President on Foreign Policy and Security, attended the Tercih Fest 2025 event organized in collaboration with İbn Haldun University and Istanbul Technical University. 

During his speech to students at the event, he asked the following question regarding President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan:  "Do you believe Erdoğan would betray Turkey and the Turkish nation?" He posed this question.

Kılıç reacted harshly to a student who answered "Yes" to this question. Kılıç, who reacted angrily by saying, "I wish you success in life with Ümit Özdağ," subsequently caused a major stir on social media. 

HE SAID, "YOU WOULD HAVE HAD YOUR RECORD RUINED"

Continuing his speech, Kılıç criticized the student's answer, saying, "If your mother and father had given such an answer to a government representative 30-40 years ago, their record would have been ruined." Arguing that President Erdoğan is the person who provided this freedom, Kılıç stated, "The fact that this record is not ruined and that you can ask questions comfortably is possible thanks to the great efforts of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan."

Kılıç also criticized the student's attitude, targeting the young student by saying, "The words you said and your attitude show that you are narrow-minded."
