Speaking on the detention of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and Zafer Party leader Ümit Özdağ, who are being held at Silivri Prison, Vatan Party Chairman Doğu Perinçek said, "Even if there are legal grounds for arrest, one could act with more tolerance."
Vatan Party Chairman Doğu Perinçek made evaluations regarding the current agenda during a television program he attended.
Speaking on Ulusal Kanal, Perinçek used notable expressions regarding the detention of IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ.
Perinçek stated, "One must be more meticulous when arresting figures such as a metropolitan mayor or a party chairman. Even if there are legal grounds for arrest, one could act with more tolerance."
