Victory Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ visited shopkeepers and chatted with citizens at a market as part of his contacts in Ankara.
During this time, a dialogue that took place while he was posing for a photo with municipal police officers drew attention.
When one of the officers did not join the photo frame, Özdağ asked, "Why aren't you coming, son, are you Syrian?"
In the video, the officer is heard responding to this question by saying, "God forbid, sir."
