Wave of resignations continues in İYİ Party
Following Konya MP Ünal Karaman, Kahramanmaraş Çağlayancerit Mayor Yemliha Göktaş has also announced his resignation from the İYİ Party. Göktaş stated, "I prefer to remain independent for a unifying style of politics."
The waters are not calming down in the İYİ Party. The activity that began with the resignation of Konya MP Ünal Karaman has continued with the departure of Kahramanmaraş's Çağlayancerit Mayor Yemliha Göktaş from the party.
In a statement on his social media account, Göktaş announced that he had resigned from his party and decided to pursue an independent political path.

Göktaş included the following statements in his announcement:
"Today, I would like to share with you, my dear fellow citizens, that I have made an important decision for the future of our Çağlayancerit. For the sake of a unifying politics in our district, I have decided to resign from the İYİ Party, of which I am a member. I believe that an approach where services and investments are discussed, rather than polarization, will be beneficial. The decision we have made has been shaped by the views of our people. I thank my fellow citizens who have supported me."
