When will Erdoğan visit the CHP? Flash statement from Özgür Özel
CHP leader Özgür Özel announced that the date for AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's return visit to the CHP has not yet been finalized.
Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Özgür Özel attended the memorial ceremony held at the gravesites of Deniz Gezmiş, Yusuf Aslan, and Hüseyin İnan, leaders of the 68 Generation youth movement, in Karşıyaka on the 52nd anniversary of their execution.
Responding to journalists' questions after the ceremony, Özel evaluated the 'normalization period' message from AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
"If the ceremony is banned at METU, no one should talk about normalization." Özel stated, adding, "No one should think that this will end in a new constitution."
WHEN IS ERDOĞAN'S RETURN VISIT?
Özel had gone to his meeting with President Erdoğan at the AKP Headquarters with a file regarding the Gezi and February 28 trials.
Özel said he expects positive developments on this matter in the coming days.
According to a report by Öykü Tüccar from NTV; the CHP leader stated that the date for Erdoğan's return visit has not yet been finalized and said, "We have not received a request yet. When there is a request and a date is finalized, it will be announced."
