Which issues will be discussed in the Turkish Parliament this week?
The General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) will resume its work starting Tuesday, January 16.
Following the completion of budget negotiations and the adoption of the economic legislative proposal on December 27, 2023, the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), which had decided to "adjourn," will resume its weekly work on Tuesday, January 16.
The General Assembly, which will elect members to the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK), is also scheduled to discuss the Presidential mandate regarding the extension of the mission duration for Turkish Armed Forces naval elements in the Gulf of Aden, Somali territorial waters and off the coast, the Arabian Sea, and adjacent regions.
Legislative proposals concerning certain international agreements will also be addressed in the General Assembly.
The Plan and Budget Committee is expected to convene this week to discuss a legislative proposal containing certain regulations related to working life.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, the parliamentary group meetings of the political parties represented in the Assembly will be held.
