Who is Bolu Mayoral Candidate Muhammed Emin Demirkol?

Muhammed Emin Demirkol was born in Istanbul in 1984. After completing his primary, secondary, and high school education in Yeniçağa and Bolu, he studied medicine at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine and earned the title of medical doctor in 2009. He completed his residency in the Department of Internal Medicine at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, becoming an Internal Medicine Specialist in 2014.

Dr. Demirkol served as a general practitioner in the Emergency Department of Gerede State Hospital before completing his specialty training in the Department of Internal Medicine at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine. He worked as an Internal Medicine Specialist and Chief Physician at Bahçesaray District Hospital in Van. He also served as the Chief Physician at Bolu İzzet Baysal State Hospital.

Furthermore, he continued his academic career as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University Faculty of Medicine and received the title of Associate Professor on 30.03.2023.

Muhammed Emin Demirkol began his role as the Bolu Provincial Health Director on November 30, 2017. He resigned from this position to apply for candidacy for the Bolu Mayoralty from the AK Party for the 2024 local elections and was announced by the AK Party as the Bolu Mayoral Candidate.
