Yavaş's response to the question regarding the 2028 presidential elections drew attention.

WILL HE BE A CANDIDATE IN 2028?

Yavaş, speaking about the 2028 presidential elections and responding to the question of whether there will be an İmamoğlu-Yavaş rivalry in the upcoming elections, said the following:

"It is not possible to talk about this right now, but he has made his own interpretation. They say that because they are thinking about the presidency, they have provided less service. I have never made such a statement. I had said that I would be a candidate if the Table of Six decided so. During the rallies we attended in the capacity of vice presidential candidates during the elections, I was on leave for only 12.5 days and I did not even take my salary for that month."

WILL HE BE A RIVAL TO EKREM İMAMOĞLU?

Continuing his speech, Yavaş stated, "Therefore, I suppose their hearts desire that there will be a rivalry or something like that already. There will be no rivalry between us. As long as I am in office, I will work for Ankara until the very last minute. My only goal is to leave behind a good name in Ankara."
