YENİ Party Beyoğlu District Headquarters opened: Message of 'power in the first election'

The YENİ Party Beyoğlu District Headquarters was opened with a ceremony attended by party officials, members of parliament, and members. The opening was attended by YENİ Party Istanbul MPs Gökan Zeybek and Suat Özçağdaş, Istanbul Provincial Chair Özgür Çelik, Beyoğlu District Chair Cenk Bleda Haşhaş, and figures from the party organization.

Speaking at the opening, Suat Özçağdaş stated that the party's purpose for establishment was not to remain in opposition but to be in power. Özçağdaş said, "The YENİ Party was not founded as an opposition party. The YENİ Party is a party that was founded to be the ruling party and will be in power in the first elections."

Expressing that Beyoğlu holds a symbolic place in Turkey in terms of struggles for rights, Özçağdaş drew attention to the protests and struggles that have been carried out in the region for many years, especially those of the Saturday Mothers. Özçağdaş said that they would explain what they will do in power across all 39 districts of Istanbul and 81 provinces of Turkey.

CALL FOR ORGANIZATION

In his speech, Gökan Zeybek addressed the party organizations and emphasized that organizing should not be seen as limited only to Beyoğlu and Istanbul. Zeybek stated that reaching out to citizens and expanding organization in different living spaces is a historical responsibility.

YENİ Party Istanbul Provincial Chair Özgür Çelik also said that they have been carrying out a struggle for democracy and justice in Istanbul for over the last two years. Arguing that politics is being attempted to be designed through the judiciary, Çelik stated that these conditions made the establishment of the YENİ Party a necessity.

Çelik said, "The nation founded the YENİ Party. When our Chairman Mr. Özgür Özel left the headquarters of the old party, the nation walked in front of, behind, and beside our Chairman. We cannot leave society without options. The YENİ Party was founded against those who try to keep the ballot box away from the nation," he said.

Beyoğlu District Chair Cenk Bleda Haşhaş explained the difficulties they faced during the establishment process of the district organization and thanked the party officials and the organization for their support.
