Yeniden Refah Party mayor resigns from his party
Emrullah Akpunar, the Yeniden Refah Party mayor elected in the local elections for the Aziziye district of Erzurum, has announced his resignation from the party.
News of a resignation has come from the Yeniden Refah Party (YRP), which received 6.19 percent of the vote nationwide in the March 31 Local Elections.
Emrullah Akpunar, who was elected Mayor of Aziziye in Erzurum, announced in a statement on his social media account that he has resigned from the Yeniden Refah Party.
In his resignation statement, Akpunar said, “My dear fellow citizens; I would like to share with you the information that I have resigned from the Yeniden Refah Party, of which I am a member, due to necessity. There is one point I especially wish to be known, which is that our motto is; wherever we are and in whatever lane we run, our only goal is to serve our fellow citizens. May God make it a means for good, God willing.”
