Yenilik Party Chairman Öztürk Yılmaz's remarks anger MHP: 'Close down the Ülkü Ocakları'

Yenilik Party Chairman Öztürk Yılmaz has called for the closure of the Ülkü Ocakları (Idealist Hearths), alleging that it has become a haven for criminal organizations.

Yılmaz, in a statement made on his social media account X, expressed his call with the following words:

“I exclude the patriotic Idealists who are sincerely committed to their ideals and reject violence. I have no words for them, nor could I! I have very good friends who are sincere people! The issue is not the Idealists, but the Ülkü Ocakları. The Ülkü Ocakları must be closed! It has turned into a hub for terrorism, drugs, mafia, rent-seeking, and gangs! There cannot be a state within a state! The PKK is martyring our soldiers in the mountains, and the mafia in the Ülkü Ocakları is killing us politicians in the cities! There are certain political parties behind them! For this reason, we cannot bring those involved in crimes to justice! They appear behind every stone! In the assassination attempt against me, Idealist mafia members were used as subcontractors. The Sinan Ateş file is the same! Can there be such a state? Can there be such law? Can there be such justice? This structure must absolutely be closed! And similar structures as well..."

This call received a harsh reaction from the MHP. MHP Deputy Chairman Mevlüt Karakaya targeted Öztürk Yılmaz with harsh words.

Karakaya said the following:

"Öztürk Yılmaz, who has swallowed the heart of a jackal and can say 'close down the Ülkü Ocakları,' I do not call you dishonorable because dishonor is a state of internal value deficiency inherent to humans, and it would be an insult to those who have been called by this title until today. I do not even call you an inhuman creature because even creatures have a value by virtue of their creation. The Turkish nation knows the Ülkü Ocakları, the education and culture home of the Turkish Youth, which protects its homeland, nation, and religion, can sacrifice themselves for these values, can shout 'to the Red Apple, to the Red Apple' even while going to martyrdom, and instills in the youth the consciousness of making the Turkish Century a Turkish Era; and it also knows you because of your strategic disgrace in Mosul..! You became famous for your disgrace, and you became a laughingstock with your nonsense!"

Öztürk Yılmaz was also targeted by numerous MHP and Ülkü Ocakları executives on social media, in addition to Karakaya.

"YOU ARE NOTHING BUT A CATTLE HERDER"

Following this, Öztürk responded to Karakaya by quoting his words: "Look at this tone! He thinks he is terrorizing!" said Yılmaz, adding to Karakaya, "Let your master come! Who are you to threaten whom? Do not forget what you have written! Who made you a professor? You are nothing but a cattle herder! Sycophant! It bothered you, didn't it? Because you are right in the middle of this filth yourself! We are not saying it for nothing! The Ülkü Ocakları will be closed."
