YRP Chairman Fatih Erbakan reacts to CMB's refund account decision: Will the fraudulent sons be overlooked for their fathers' sake?
Yeniden Refah Party leader Fatih Erbakan criticized the Capital Markets Board's (CMB) decision regarding "voluntary refund accounts" for funds under liquidation.
Yeniden Refah Party Chairman Fatih Erbakan reacted to the Capital Markets Board's (CMB) decision dated October 1, 2026.
Criticizing the CMB's regulation aimed at opening "Voluntary Refund Accounts" so that those who made exorbitant profits in funds under liquidation can voluntarily return these gains, Erbakan asked who the decision would cover.
Making a statement on his social media account, Erbakan used the phrase, "Save the citizens, not the cronies." Asking whether the decision would apply to individuals alleged to have received insider information or those who sold their shares to small investors at high prices at the last minute, Erbakan described the regulation as a "pay and get off the hook mechanism."
"For whom will Article 106 of the Capital Markets Law be valid? With the decision you have made, will thieves who engage in manipulation and insider trading, and market agents be released back among us? Will this be a restoration of reputation?"
In his statement, Erbakan reacted to the decision with the words, "Will the fraudulent sons be overlooked for their fathers' sake? Will they not be banned? Will they not be punished?"
The Yeniden Refah Party leader concluded his statement with the words, "Another battle for justice, another disappointment! Do not save the corrupt, the thieves, the criminals, the cronies; save the citizens you have victimized! There is no justice like this!"
