Yeniden Refah Party Deputy Chairman Suat Kılıç has announced the date his party has decided upon for early elections.
Kılıç made statements regarding the agenda following the Central Executive Board (MYK) meeting.
Recalling the figures for inflation, the hunger threshold, and the poverty line, Kılıç said regarding the discussions on early elections, "Sunday, November 23, 2025, would be a reasonable date for an early election."
The highlights of Kılıç's statement are as follows:
"There could be an early election in Turkey. I have shared the figures with you. Under these conditions, it is not possible for Turkey to continue for a long time. A village in sight needs no guide. We see that Turkey is heading toward an early election.
It could be in the autumn of 2025 or the spring of 2026. This early election will be at our doorstep. We are calling on our organizations to be prepared for this early election.
Sunday, November 23, 2025, would be a reasonable date for an early election."
ÖZEL HAD ALSO SAID 'NOVEMBER'
Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Özgür Özel, in a TV program he attended, stated that they are not afraid of an early election in which President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is a candidate, saying, "I see it as healthy for the CHP and for Turkish democracy for Erdoğan to be a candidate and for this process to be completed by defeating him."
Stating that "There are two ways for elections to be held in Turkey today," Özel noted the following:
"If the Parliament renews the elections with 360 deputies, Erdoğan has the right to be a candidate one last time. His term is five years. We will renew the elections. We have no fear of anyone. Let's go to the polls in the spring of 2026 or next November. We need to defeat Erdoğan and start a new development process."
