YSK rules on objections for 2 provinces and 29 districts
The Supreme Election Council (YSK) has ruled on 31 objections filed by political parties regarding 2 provinces and 29 districts within the scope of the March 31 Local Administration General Elections.
The Supreme Election Council continues to evaluate objections made within the scope of the March 31 Local Administration General Elections. The council, which convened today at 14:00, reached final decisions on the objections filed by political parties following a meeting that lasted approximately 1 and a half hours. During the meeting, the council concluded 31 objections filed for 29 electoral districts and announced the results for 2 provinces and 27 districts.
Accordingly, the requests by the AK Party for a 'recount of votes' in Adıyaman Gölbaşı, İzmir Güzelbahçe, Malatya Arapgir, Balıkesir Balya, and İzmir Kemalpaşa; for the 'cancellation of the election' in Gümüşhane Central and Kayseri Akkışla; for the 'cancellation of the certificate of election and the issuance of the certificate to the runner-up' in Uşak Banaz and Elazığ Keban; and for a 'recount of votes for municipal council membership' in Istanbul Bahçelievler were rejected.
The requests by the CHP for a 'recount of votes' in Trabzon Çarşıbaşı, Samsun Alaçam, Osmaniye Düziçi, Ankara Bala, and Gaziantep İslahiye, and for the 'cancellation of the elections' in Sakarya Serdivan were rejected.
While the MHP's request for a recount of votes in Elazığ Central and Konya Doğanhisar was rejected, their request for a 'recalculation of municipal council members' in the Çorum Uğurludağ municipal council elections was accepted.
The requests by the New Welfare Party (Yeniden Refah Partisi) for the 'cancellation of elections' in Tokat Çamlıbel, Şanlıurfa Eyyübiye, and Gaziantep Nurdağı, as well as their requests for a recount of votes in Elazığ Central and Trabzon Şalpazarı, were rejected.
The requests of the İYİ Party, which filed objections for a recount of votes in Trabzon Şalpazarı and the cancellation of the election in Kayseri Yeşilhisar, were also rejected.
The request by the DEM Party for the cancellation of elections in the Diyarbakır Eğil and Mardin Ömerli districts was rejected by the council.
The YSK will continue to evaluate objections at the council meeting to be held tomorrow at 15:00.
