Yücel Coşkun re-elected as İYİ Party Istanbul Provincial Chair
At the 4th Ordinary Istanbul Provincial Congress of the İYİ Party, incumbent Chair Yücel Coşkun was re-elected with 400 votes. His opponent, İmren Nilay Tüfekçi, received 183 votes.
The 4th Ordinary Istanbul Provincial Congress of the İYİ Party was held today at the Istanbul Congress Center in Harbiye, with the participation of Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu.
At the congress, the current Istanbul Provincial Chair Yücel Coşkun and İmren Nilay Tüfekçi, known for her closeness to Meral Akşener, competed for the chairmanship.
In his speech at the congress, Dervişoğlu recalled that 15 of the 44 deputies elected in the last elections had resigned from his party, stating that he did not utter a single sentence to dissuade any of them from their decision, "because he knows that politics is done with those who stay, not those who leave."
In the election held, Coşkun was re-elected as the Istanbul Provincial Chair with 400 votes. Tüfekçi remained at 183 votes.
Following Coşkun's re-election as Istanbul Provincial Chair, chants of 'President Yücel' rose in the hall.
