The Istanbul 1st Criminal Court of Peace has issued a decision regarding T24's website and social media accounts as part of the “My Family is Safe” investigation.
A closure decision has been issued for the T24 news site and its social media accounts as part of the “My Family is Safe” (Ailem Güvende) investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
It was reported that the decision was taken by the Istanbul 1st Criminal Court of Peace. The justification provided was that the news portal had published 118 pieces of content over the past year that were alleged to “constitute LGBT propaganda.”
It was stated that the decision in question has been sent to the Presidency of Cyber Security for implementation. The scope of the decision reportedly includes T24's website and its social media accounts.
