It has been reported that journalist Fatih Ergin has been detained.
Lawyer Sibel Sevinç Deveci Özçelik announced the decision on her social media account.
The post stated, "Our client Fatih Ergin is currently being detained at his residence. If you had invited him, he would have come running, dear authorities."
WHO IS FATİH ERGİN?
Fatih Ergin is a journalist and writer born in Zonguldak in 1987. Having completed his primary and secondary education in the Cide district of Kastamonu, Ergin graduated from the Department of Public Administration at Anadolu University.
Ergin began his journalism career in 2011-2012 at the Siyasigündem website, where he served as editor-in-chief and writer. Later, he worked as a writer for the Orta Doğu and Yeniçağ newspapers and also served as the news director for Yeniçağ for a period. Fatih Ergin continues his career as a news coordinator at Nefes Gazetesi.
