A federal court in the U.S. has temporarily halted President Donald Trump's decision to ban CNN, MS NOW, and Politico from accessing the White House.
The three media organizations had taken the decision to court on the grounds that the ban violated freedom of expression and freedom of the press. With the temporary restraining order issued as part of the case, the court ruled that access to the White House for the organizations in question should be restored.
It was stated that the decision would remain in effect for 14 days, during which time the court is expected to make its final assessment.
Trump had long accused CNN, MS NOW, and Politico of producing "fake news." Recently, he had argued that the negative reporting about him was "harming the country."
