Hüseyin Günay to turn his dismissal process into a book

During the meeting between US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House last month, a conversation NTV Washington Representative Hüseyin Günay had with another journalist caused a stir on social media.

During this conversation, Günay had stated that the meeting did not go well for Turkey and that the sale of F-35 fighter jets was contingent upon stopping the purchase of natural gas from Russia. He had also expressed that Turkey did not gain anything from this meeting.

Following these remarks, NTV management terminated Günay's employment on the grounds that the conversation included profanity. In a statement today, Hüseyin Günay announced that he would tell the story behind the scenes of what happened in a book. In a post on his social media account, he said, "I am in talks with Turkish and foreign publishing houses to write the book on the aforementioned incident and explain what happened behind the scenes. I have a lot to tell!"

In his post, Günay also included the following words:

"Greetings, wishing everyone well. Thank you very much for your congratulatory messages; we are enjoying our time with our son Atlas:) I wish for everyone who wants it to experience the love of a child. Also, I am grateful for your messages of support. They gave me strength. I will continue to practice journalism and tell what I know to be true."
