Journalist İsmail Arı reported to have been detained

Arı was detained on the charge of "spreading misleading information to the public" following a complaint by former RTÜK President Ebubekir Şahin.

According to the report in Birgün, Arı was invited to the Ankara Police Department Security Branch for a statement today at 15:30.

Arı, who went to the police station at the specified time to provide a statement, was served with a detention order and our reporter was taken into custody.
