Özgür Özel paid a support visit to the news platform T24 following a court decision to block access to it. Özel and his accompanying delegation visited T24's Ankara office and met with representatives of the platform.
Özel was accompanied during the visit by Group Deputy Chairman Murat Emir and Deputy Chairman Utku Çakırözer. During the meeting, the access ban decision, as well as current judicial developments and assessments regarding the process, were discussed.
The access ban on T24's website and social media accounts came to the fore within the scope of the "My Family is Safe" investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. The investigation file included an assessment that 118 pieces of content published by the platform in the last year constituted LGBT propaganda.
Following this assessment, the Istanbul 1st Criminal Judgeship of Peace issued an access ban for T24's website and social media accounts.
