soL Haber, whose X account was blocked, announces new account
soL Haber, whose X account it had used for about 17 years was blocked from access in Turkey, shared its new account with readers.
soL Haber announced its new account after access from Turkey was blocked to the account it had used on the social media platform X for about 17 years.
The platform called on its readers and the public in a statement made through its new X account.
In the statement, it was argued that the outlet had faced “systematic pressure” in connection with the NATO Summit.
soL Haber said the account had been blocked from access in Turkey, and also reported that claims had emerged that an investigation had been launched against it over allegations that it “made provocative posts aimed at disrupting public order.”
The newspaper said preparations were under way for a legal process against the developments in question. The statement said accusations against soL Haber such as “aiming for social chaos” were untrue.
“The attempt to silence soL is doomed to fail. We will raise our voice. With your support. All together.”
In its statement, soL Haber called on readers for solidarity and announced that it would continue its publications through its new account.
