Support for freelance journalists: Media4Democracy applications have begun
The Journalists' Association has renewed its call for support for freelance journalists. Journalists wishing to receive support within the framework of the Media4Democracy Project can apply with concrete news proposals.
The Media4Democracy Project, carried out by the Journalists' Association with the financial support of the European Union, continues to support freelance journalists. Within the scope of the project, journalists who wish to receive support must apply with concrete news proposals. Applications are made by filling out a form.
WHO CAN APPLY?
The criteria determined for individuals who can apply to the support tool are as follows:
- Individuals who have legal capacity,
- Individuals residing in Turkey, regardless of whether they are citizens of the Republic of Turkey,
- Freelance journalists who have previously practiced the profession of journalism and are not currently working under a permanent press employment contract at any media organization at the time of application,
- Priority will be given to journalists who are members of journalists' associations, professional organizations, unions, or press-related associations operating in Turkey,
- Journalists under the age of 35 will also be included in the priority evaluation scope.
