2026 bonus payment dates for public sector workers announced
The schedule for additional bonus payments to be made to public sector workers in 2026 has been published in the Official Gazette. Accordingly, payments will be made in January and March, while for mine workers, the payment will be made in a single installment at the end of the year.
The payment dates for the 2026 additional bonuses for public sector workers have been finalized. The Presidential Decree regarding the matter has been published in the Official Gazette and has entered into force.
According to the decree bearing the signature of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the first part of the additional bonus to be paid to workers employed in institutions covered by Law No. 6772 will be paid on January 26, 2026. The second part of the payment will be deposited into the accounts of the beneficiaries on March 16, 2026.
SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT FOR MINE WORKERS
A different schedule will be applied for workers employed in underground mining operations. Within the scope of Article 2 of the same Law, the entire additional bonus payment to be made to these employees will be provided in a single installment on December 23, 2026.
The decision in question was made official by being published in the Official Gazette dated January 8, 2026.
