Competition fine of approximately 2.5 million liras for Balparmak

According to the announcement on the Competition Authority's website, the investigation into the allegation that Altıparmak Gıda Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ, which operates as a honey producer-supplier in the fast-moving consumer goods sector under the "Balparmak" brand, violated the Law on the Protection of Competition through the exchange of competitively sensitive information, has been concluded.

The Board, which deliberated on the file, determined that Altıparmak Gıda Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ violated the Law and imposed an administrative fine of 2 million 477 thousand 859 liras on the enterprise in question.

On the other hand, the investigation regarding Sezen Gıda Maddeleri Tarım ve Hayvancılık Ürün. Tic. ve San. Ltd. Şti., which operates as a honey producer-supplier under the "Anavarza" brand and was included in the same file, was concluded with a settlement in June 2023.

The Board had decided to impose an administrative fine of 513 thousand 329 liras on the enterprise, which accepted the violation and the administrative fine, on the grounds that it violated the Law through the exchange of competitively sensitive information with Altıparmak Gıda Sanayi ve Ticaret AŞ.
