Court of Accounts calculates: The public cost of irregularities has been revealed

According to the report by Mustafa Bildircin from BirGün, the total public loss identified through irregularities recorded and subjected to legal proceedings between 2018 and 2023 amounted to 2 billion 200 million 671 thousand TL .
In addition to the Turkish Lira, public losses also occurred in foreign currencies, totaling 3 million 5 thousand dollars and 23 million 538 thousand euros.
There has been a striking increase over the years in public losses arising from transactions by public administrations that are contrary to legislation.
The loss, which was stated as 127 million 539 thousand 851 TL in the Court of Accounts' 2018 report, was listed by year for the 2019-2023 period as follows:
