Demonstrations and protests banned in Bingöl for 10 days

The Bingöl Governor's Office has announced that protest marches and outdoor meetings have been banned for 10 days.

In a statement issued by the Governor's Office, it was stated that this decision was taken due to serious indications that public order and security would be disrupted in a way that would stop or interrupt daily life.

The statement noted the following:

"In order to prevent actions and attacks that are considered to directly and clearly create the conditions for limitation and prohibition stipulated in our Constitution and laws, to ensure the life and property security of our citizens, to thwart the plans of terrorist organizations, and in this context, to ensure national security, protect public order and general health, prevent the commission of crimes, ensure the continuation of fundamental rights and freedoms, the rights and freedoms of others, and general public order, and to prevent the spread of violent incidents; within the borders of Bingöl, from 00:01 on February 6 to 23:59 on February 15, for a period of 10 days, protest marches, outdoor meetings, and indoor meetings are prohibited, except for those deemed appropriate by the Governor's Office and district governorships."
