Forest areas are also being opened for development
With the new regulation, forest areas on the seaward side of the coastal line can be used for tourism investments.
The regulation amendment published in the Official Gazette allows for forest areas over which the Ministry of Culture and Tourism has been granted rights of disposal, specifically those parts remaining on the seaward side of the coastal line, to be allocated for tourism investments.
This change was implemented through an additional paragraph added to the "Regulation on the Allocation of Public Immovables for Tourism Investments."
According to this addition to the regulation, the forest areas in question may be allocated for tourism investments by granting a usage permit, provided that they remain open to the public.
This regulation aims to bring forest areas in coastal regions into the tourism sector.
