Fraud warning to companies from the Ministry of National Education: Do not trust those asking for money in the Ministry's name
The Ministry has issued a warning following complaints that individuals are using the names of Ministry officials to solicit money from companies identified through EKAP.
The Ministry of National Education (MEB) has issued a public warning following complaints that individuals are using the names of Ministry units and officials to solicit money from companies.
In a statement released by the Ministry, it was noted that certain individuals and firms have been accessing information about companies that do business with or apply for work with the MEB via EKAP, and subsequently contacting these companies by phone or other means to request money under various pretexts.
The MEB emphasized that it does not request payments from companies under the guise of social assistance, donations, sponsorships, or any similar name. The statement urged citizens and companies to absolutely disregard such requests, refrain from making any payments, and avoid sharing personal or corporate information.
The Ministry announced that legal proceedings have been initiated regarding these fraud attempts and that criminal complaints have been filed with the relevant authorities against those responsible.
