Increase in retiree bonuses published in the Official Gazette: Now 4000 TL

Holiday bonuses given to retirees twice a year have been increased to 4000 TL with the legal regulation enacted. According to the law published in the Official Gazette, this change will begin to be implemented.

The law regarding amendments to the Youth and Sports Services Law and certain other laws also covers the increase in retiree bonuses. The phrase "3000 TL each" in the additional 18th article of Law No. 5510 has been updated to "4000 TL each".

Holiday bonuses paid to retirees began to be deposited into accounts as of March 24. The 1000 TL difference resulting from the raise is also expected to be paid shortly. The Social Security Institution (SGK) announced that the difference payments will be made as soon as possible.

OTHER REGULATIONS IN THE LAW

In the transportation sector, administrative fines for those carrying passengers without tickets and operating without an authorization certificate have been increased. The fine for those engaged in unauthorized transportation has been raised from 8500 TL to 85 thousand TL, and the fine for those operating without an authorization certificate has been increased to 250 thousand TL.

Birth grants have also been increased. For children born on or after January 1, 2025, a one-time payment of 5000 TL will be made for the first child, 1500 TL per month until the age of 5 for the second child, and 5000 TL per month for the third and subsequent children. The President will be able to increase these figures according to the revaluation rate.

Employees of the General Directorate of State Airports Authority (DHMİ) and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHGM) will be paid a performance bonus based on the number of departing aircraft traffic.
