Increase in security deposit amounts
The Department of Building Inspection of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change has published the Communiqué on the Updating of Security Deposit Amounts. Security deposit amounts have been increased by 44.22 percent. The new figures have been published in the Official Gazette.
Under the Law on Building Inspection, the security deposit amounts collected have been increased based on the 44.22% annual change rate of the Domestic Producer Price Index for December 2023, as announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute, in accordance with the 8th paragraph of Article 32 of the Building Inspection Implementation Regulation.
The new security deposit amounts have been reorganized to be effective as of February 1, 2024.
The security deposit amount specified in clause (a) of the first paragraph of Article 32 of the Building Inspection Implementation Regulation, which was increased by 44.22 percent, has risen to 2 million 472 thousand 87 TL.
