May 1 detainees appear in court
The trial of 30 people, 25 of whom are in custody, regarding the interventions on May 1 is being held at the Istanbul Courthouse 44th Criminal Court of First Instance.
In Istanbul, 30 people, 25 of whom are in custody following the initial operation against those who wanted to march from Saraçhane to Taksim during the May 1 celebrations, are appearing before a judge.
The first hearing of the case filed against the 30 individuals on various charges has begun at the Istanbul Courthouse 44th Criminal Court of First Instance. Following the identification process, the defense statements have commenced.
'FREEDOM FOR TAKSIM, FREEDOM FOR THE PRISONERS'
Prior to the hearing, a statement was made in front of the courthouse by the Istanbul Labor, Peace and Democracy Forces. During the demonstration, a banner reading "Freedom for May 1, for Taksim, and for the prisoners" was unfurled.
