New appointments at the Istanbul Police Department

The expected summer term appointments at the Istanbul Provincial Police Department have been carried out. The number of new appointments and the names of the assigned personnel have been announced.

In a statement released by the Governor's Office, it was stated, "We wish all our personnel success in their duties, with the hope that these appointments and assignments will be beneficial for our Istanbul and our Police Organization."

The appointed names were announced as follows: 2nd Class Police Chiefs Zafer Baybaba, Hüseyin Güleç, Aykut Korkmaz, Hasan Demirbağ, Erdem Torlak, Taner Ertürk, Murat Özbek, Gülpınar Adir, Özgür Yılmaz, Deniz Halıcı Çelik, Mustafa Ergenç, Serkan Kılınç, Seval Erdem Gürdoğan, Filibya Saral, Göksel Önder, Kadir Arslan, Neslihan Türkün, and Murat Çaykara have been appointed as Deputy Provincial Police Chiefs.

The statement also noted that 2nd Class Police Chiefs Cemil Erim was appointed as Arnavutköy District Police Chief, Korkut Okyay as Bağcılar District Police Chief, Mehmet Baykara as Beşiktaş District Police Chief, Şekip Akın as Beykoz District Police Chief, Özay Kayhan as Esenyurt District Police Chief, Cemal Ünlü as Fatih District Police Chief, Hakan Erişmiş as Sancaktepe District Police Chief, Murat Milletsever as Sarıyer District Police Chief, Ali Kesikoğlu as Şişli District Police Chief, and Mehmet Yaşar Zehir as Üsküdar District Police Chief. Furthermore, it was announced that 3rd Class Police Chiefs Serdar Örs was appointed as Eyüpsultan District Police Chief, Murat Özburun as Gaziosmanpaşa District Police Chief, Oktay Çelik as Maltepe District Police Chief, Hakan Öztürk as Pendik District Police Chief, Kıvanç Taşçı as Silivri District Police Chief, and Fatih Tilki as Tuzla District Police Chief.

In the Governor's Office statement, it was indicated that 3rd Class Police Chiefs Tuncer Bilici was appointed as Document Management Branch Manager, Abidin Erik as Bosphorus Bridges Protection Branch Manager, Adnan Ayhan as Sensitive Areas Protection Branch Manager, Binali Ökten as Istanbul Atatürk Airport Branch Manager, Azmi İlker Çiftci as Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport Branch Manager, İbrahim Duran as Coordination Branch Manager, Arınç Çevik as Financial Crimes Investigation Branch Manager, Ziya Şaşmaz as Crime Scene Investigation Branch Manager, Mustafa Aktan as Organized Crime Investigation Branch Manager, Ömer Faruk Günay as Preventive Services Branch Manager, Mustafa Sarı as Police Search and Rescue (PAK) Branch Manager, Banu Ördek as Social Services and Health Branch Manager and acting Sea Port Branch Manager, and Halil İbrahim Başlı as Tourism Branch Manager; while 4th Class Police Chiefs Ahmet Lütfü Çırakoğlu was appointed as Security Teams Branch Manager and Tunay Başarık as Traffic Inspection Branch Manager.

The statement further noted that 4th Class Police Chiefs Sami Pektaş was appointed as Deputy Başakşehir District Police Chief and Serhat Kalyoncu as Deputy Anti-Terrorism Branch Manager, while Police Commissioners Zülküf Demir was appointed as Deputy Beylikdüzü District Police Chief, Yılmaz Kahraman as Deputy Sultangazi District Police Chief, and Ali Osman Serhatoğlu as Acting Deputy Public Order Branch Manager.
