New regulation for ATMs: Cash withdrawal limit increased
Banks have introduced a new regulation for ATMs to help customers save time and reduce congestion at branches.
Banks have implemented a new regulation for ATMs. With this regulation, it will become possible for many bank customers to withdraw higher amounts of cash from ATMs free of charge. On the other hand, this new regulation also aims to reduce the congestion occurring at bank branches.
Enabling customers to meet their higher cash withdrawal needs at ATMs will also reduce branch density. Furthermore, this decision is intended to help customers save time and ensure that social distancing rules at bank branches are applied more effectively.
HOW MUCH WILL THE LIMITS BE?
The daily cash withdrawal limit was previously capped at 5,000 TL. With this decision, daily withdrawal limits have been raised to 10,000 TL. In this context, some banks have increased their cash withdrawal limits up to 15,000 TL.

There has also been an increase in limits for cash withdrawals made via QR codes using mobile phones; the new limits vary from bank to bank, with cash withdrawal limit changes generally ranging between 10,000 and 15,000.
