New regulations for fuel stations and vehicle owners: Starts on April 30!
The Revenue Administration has stated that fuel stations and vehicle owners must comply with the new regulations. It is important to have the necessary devices installed by April 30.
The Revenue Administration has introduced new regulations in the fuel sector through the 'General Communiqué on the Implementation of the National Vehicle Recognition System' published in the Official Gazette, aiming to ensure fair competition and combat the informal economy. In this context, the installation of various recognition devices has become mandatory for fuel stations and vehicles.
DETAILS OF THE NEW REGULATIONS
Within the framework of the National Vehicle Recognition System (UTTS), it is required to install a Nozzle Communication Module (TİM) and a Vehicle Recognition Reader (TTO) at fuel stations. Additionally, a requirement has been introduced to mount a Vehicle Recognition Unit (TTB) on vehicles that are leased or included in business operations. Fuel station operators are required to install a TTO on at least one pump unit. Devices used for fuel types other than gasoline or diesel can be installed until the end of the year.
Vehicle owners were also required to have a TTB installed on their leased or business-included vehicles by January 31. For fuel types other than gasoline or diesel, this deadline will expire on December 31. For other vehicles using a vehicle recognition system, the installation of a TTB will be mandatory starting from July 1.

THE STATEMENT INCLUDED THE FOLLOWING EXPRESSIONS
The Administration stated, 'To prevent potential loss of rights, it is of great importance that fuel station operators and vehicle owners required to install a TTB comply with the regulations and deadlines specified in the communiqué. For detailed information, you can visit the 'utts.gov.tr' address.'
Finally, it was emphasized that fuel station operators and vehicle owners must complete the necessary application and registration procedures online and have the devices installed by April 30. In sales made within the scope of the UTTS, vehicle license plate information will be automatically transmitted to the new generation pump payment devices.
