Öz Büro İş Union's strike decision postponed for 60 days
By presidential decree, the strike planned by the Öz Büro İş Union at the Turkish Standards Institution has been postponed for two months on the grounds of public health and national security.
With a decision taken by the Presidency and published in the Official Gazette, the strike that the Öz Büro İş Union planned to carry out at the Turkish Standards Institution and its affiliated workplaces has been postponed for sixty days on the grounds that it is considered a threat to public health and national security.
This decision was taken in accordance with Article 63 of the Law on Trade Unions and Collective Labor Agreements No. 6356.
THE MINE WORKERS' UNION'S STRIKE DECISION WAS ALSO POSTPONED IN JULY
According to the decision published in the Official Gazette on July 31, signed by AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the strike decision taken by the Turkish Mine Workers' Union was postponed for 60 days on the grounds that it was considered to be 'disruptive to national security'.
The decision was taken in accordance with Article 63 of the Law on Trade Unions and Collective Labor Agreements No. 6356. The strike postponement covers four different workplaces affiliated with Eti Maden Operations.
