Police announced: Roads to be closed for August 30 have been determined
The Ankara Police Department has announced the roads that will be closed to vehicle traffic in Ankara due to the August 30 Victory Day celebrations.
The Ankara Police Department has announced the roads that will be closed starting from 06:00 on 30.08.2024, due to the "Wreath Laying Ceremony" at Anıtkabir and the "Official Parade" which will start from the TBMM (Grand National Assembly of Turkey) ceremonial area and follow the route of İnönü Boulevard, Atatürk Boulevard, Ulus Square, and Cumhuriyet Street to the First TBMM Building in Ulus, as part of the August 30 Victory Day celebrations.
The department's statement is as follows:
- The entire section of Atatürk Boulevard between Kuğulu Junction and Ulus Square, and all streets and avenues opening into it, in both directions,
- The section of Dikmen Street between 15 July Martyrs Square (General Staff Junction) and the intersection with Çetin Emeç Boulevard, and all streets and avenues opening into it, in both directions,
- The section of İsmet İnönü Boulevard between Mareşal Fevzi Çakmak Street and Akay Junction, and all streets and avenues opening into it, in both directions,
- The entirety of İstiklal Street and all streets and avenues opening into it, in both directions,
- The section of İstanbul Street between Kazım Karabekir Street and İstiklal Street, and all streets and avenues opening into it, in both directions,
- The section of Cumhuriyet Street between Ulus Square and the Train Station Junction, and all streets and avenues opening into it, in both directions,
- Çankırı Street and all streets and avenues opening into it, in both directions,
- The section of GMK Boulevard between 15 July Kızılay National Will Square and Anadolu Square, and all streets and avenues opening into it, in both directions,
- The section of Ziya Gökalp Street between 15 July Kızılay National Will Square and Kolej Square, and all streets and avenues opening into it, in both directions,
- The section of Milli Müdafaa Street between 15 July Martyrs Square (General Staff Junction) and GMK Boulevard, and all streets and avenues opening into it, in both directions,
- Gençlik Street and all streets and avenues opening into it, in both directions,
- Akdeniz Street and all streets and avenues opening into it, in both directions,
- Anıt Street and all streets and avenues opening into it, in both directions,
- Sporpark Street and all streets and avenues opening into it, in both directions,
If necessary;
- Mareşal Fevzi Çakmak Street and all streets and avenues opening into it, in both directions,
- The section of Kazım Karabekir Street between the side variants connecting to Celal Bayar Boulevard and Anadolu Square, and all streets and avenues opening into it, in both directions,
- The section of Dögol Street between Beşevler Junction and Anadolu Square, and all streets and avenues opening into it, will be closed to vehicle traffic in both directions.
