Postponement in the effective date of the Automotive Safety Regulation
The Ministry of Industry and Technology has postponed the effective date of the General Safety Regulation, which was set to be implemented on July 7. As a result, vehicles currently in stock and those to be imported over the next 2 months can be sold under the existing regulation.
The Ministry of Industry and Technology's General Safety Regulation has been published in the Official Gazette.
With the regulation, the implementation date of the General Safety Regulation has been postponed from July 7, 2024, to August 31, 2024.
Thus, additional time has been provided for the sale of vehicles currently in stock and those to be imported over the next 2 months under the existing safety regulation.
