Presidential circular on local elections

The circular recalled that, in accordance with Article 127 of the Constitution and Article 8 of Law No. 2972 on Local Administration and Neighborhood Headman and Council of Elders Elections, the Local Administration General Elections will be held on Sunday, March 31.

It was stated that in order to ensure the Local Administration General Elections are conducted in a manner worthy of the principle of "management and honesty of elections from start to finish" as stipulated in Article 79 of the Constitution, it is of great importance that all public institutions and organizations provide all kinds of labor, vehicle, and other material support to the work of the Supreme Election Council and provincial and district election boards within this scope.

The circular included the following statements:

"In this regard, in order to successfully carry out the Local Administration General Elections to be held on Sunday, March 31, 2024, and to ensure that the national will is reflected in the ballot box in a healthy manner, all public institutions and organizations, especially civil administrators, managers of public banks, and heads of security forces, shall take all necessary measures and show maximum effort and sensitivity to ensure that needs such as space, vehicle allocation, computers, printers and toner, uninterruptible power supplies, and generators, as well as the reinforcement of qualified personnel capable of using them, are met by all public institutions and organizations without any disruption, particularly for district election boards."
