Scholarship protocol for students from the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of National Education
Through a project jointly conducted by the Ministry of National Defense (MSB) and the Ministry of National Education (MEB), scholarship opportunities will be provided to selected 9th-grade students. This scholarship will be awarded to students who meet the specified criteria within the limits of the quota.
The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) and the Ministry of National Education (MEB) have signed a cooperation protocol aimed at training qualified human resources for the defense industry. Within the framework of this protocol, ministry representatives met at the Ankara Gölbaşı Mogan Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School to discuss the decisions made by the protocol executive boards and the procedures to be followed.
SCHOLARSHIP DECISION
According to the protocol, 9th-grade students at the designated schools will be granted scholarship status provided they meet the success criteria and remain within the quota limits. These students will be awarded a scholarship equal to 30 percent of the minimum wage every month for 9 months, starting from January 2024.
MINISTRY ADDRESSED THE ISSUE
Furthermore, if the scholarship students complete their education and fulfill the scholarship requirements, they will be offered employment opportunities at the Machinery and Chemical Industry Corporation (MKE AŞ) General Directorate, the General Directorate of Shipyards, and the General Directorate of Military Factories under the MSB. This matter was also addressed by the ministry representatives. The second meeting of the cooperation protocol will be held in April at the Istanbul Shipyard Command.
