HAS THE GSS PREMIUM DEBT AMNESTY REACHED PARLIAMENT?

Details regarding the GSS premium debt amnesty are awaited with great curiosity. The TBMM General Assembly will begin its weekly work tomorrow following the 2025 budget negotiations.

The General Assembly will hold discussions on the proposal that envisions amendments to the Civil Servants Law and certain other laws.

Once the discussions on the proposal are completed, draft laws concerning regulations for family medicine and the non-collection of unpaid GSS premiums dating back to before January 1, 2015, will be brought to the agenda.

The proposal will come into effect after receiving approval from Parliament and being published in the Official Gazette.

GSS DEBTS BEFORE JANUARY 1, 2015 WILL BE ERASED!

With this regulation, the General Health Insurance (GSS) premium debts of 1.7 million citizens dating back to before January 1, 2015, amounting to approximately 2 billion TL, will be erased.

Paid premiums will not be refunded or offset. Additionally, fees will be charged for certain services at family health centers.

Services provided to foreigners, traditional and complementary medicine practices offered outside working hours, special-purpose reports, and certain services determined by the Ministry of Health will be provided free of charge.

The revenues to be collected will be transferred from the revolving fund to the family physician and family health worker.
