It has been claimed that Meta Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mark Zuckerberg has been sending personal emails to researchers working at Google's artificial intelligence company, DeepMind, to offer them jobs.
According to a report by The Information, Zuckerberg has been sending personal emails to DeepMind researchers, explaining the importance Meta places on artificial intelligence technologies and inviting them to work at his company.
Furthermore, it was alleged that Meta has been extending job offers to artificial intelligence researchers without conducting preliminary interviews and has relaxed its policy of not increasing salaries for staff who have received offers from other firms.
META'S ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE INVESTMENTS
Speaking to the news site The Verge in January, Zuckerberg stated that Meta's artificial intelligence development capacity has surpassed its competitors and that 340 thousand chips used for artificial intelligence models would be delivered by the US-based company Nvidia by the end of 2024.
Zuckerberg also announced at Meta's 2023 investor meeting that the largest share of the company's 2024 investments would be allocated to the field of artificial intelligence.
