Anthropic to pay $85,000 annual salary to AI learners

While concerns that artificial intelligence could take away many people's jobs remain on the agenda, US-based company Anthropic has launched a new initiative that could provide clues about the future of the human workforce.

Anthropic has launched a program titled "Claude Corps," which will place young workers in non-profit organizations to help them integrate artificial intelligence into their operations. The company announced that it is looking for individuals who want to learn how artificial intelligence can be used to solve real-world problems and increase business productivity.

The program, which is open to anyone over the age of 18 with less than two years of full-time work experience, aims to help participants discover areas where non-profit organizations can provide automation and improve their workflows using Claude.

The program, which will ensure the widespread use of artificial intelligence tools that take repetitive and routine office tasks off employees' hands and open new frontiers in business efficiency, does not require applicants to have prior experience in the field of artificial intelligence, unlike many technology-focused programs.

$150 million allocated

According to the statement made by the company, an initial $150 million has been allocated for 1,000 people to learn how to use the AI tool Claude and for them to be matched with non-profit organizations across the US within the framework of the program. The first group of 100 people will join the program in October of this year, and applications will be open until July 17. Within the framework of the program, at least 400 non-profit organizations will host the program's participants.

The program, which is funded and directed by Anthropic, is being run by CodePath, a non-profit organization that helps low-income college students enter the technology sector. Under the program, participants are expected to be employed by CodePath with an annual salary of $85,000 in addition to the fringe benefits they will receive. Reflecting the growing demand for employees who know how to use artificial intelligence effectively, this initiative aims to provide training for professionals who can build a bridge between increasingly widespread artificial intelligence tools and the solutions to problems encountered in the real world.
