US-based technology company Apple has announced a revamped health app that uses Apple Intelligence technology to analyze users' health data and provide personalized information. The company stated that the system will aggregate data from various areas such as heart health, sleep, physical activity, metabolic health, hearing, and nutrition obtained from Apple's smartwatches and smartphones.
Additionally, the "Health Age" feature, which will be included in the new "Longevity" section, will compare the user's health indicators with their chronological age. Thus, the system will be able to evaluate measurements such as resting heart rate, sleep, heart rate variability, and the maximum amount of oxygen the body can use.
Users will also be able to add laboratory results, including blood sugar tests and cholesterol measurements, to their health data.
"Guidance will be provided on whether to rest or continue activity based on the current situation"
Apple is also preparing to launch the "Readiness" feature, which makes daily assessments by analyzing recent physical activity, sleep, and other health data. The company states that this feature will provide guidance on whether to rest, slow down, or continue activity based on the user's current state.
The company will also utilize artificial intelligence technology for physical assessments that can be performed at home. Evaluations in areas such as flexibility, strength, balance, and gait will be possible using smartphone cameras and watches.
Apple stated that these assessments are processed on the device and that images are not recorded, stored, or shared. The company announced that the revamped health app will be launched in English first later this year, with other languages to be added subsequently.
