Apple discontinues sales of 3 iPhone models

The European Union's (EU) mandate for USB-C charging ports has dealt a heavy blow to Apple.

Three iPhone models that do not comply with this new regulation and were still on sale have been removed from official Apple stores.

According to a report by The Verge, the iPhone SE 3, iPhone 14 Plus, and iPhone 14 models will no longer be sold at Apple's official retail points in European Union countries. Following the introduction of the iPhone 15 series, the iPhone 14 Pro models had already been removed from sale.

Now, the third-generation iPhone SE 3, iPhone 14 Plus, and iPhone 14 have also been pulled from the market.

WHY WERE THEY REMOVED?

Online sales of the 3 models featuring Lightning charging ports have been halted.

For this reason, starting December 28, not only these iPhone models but also other smartphone brands that do not have a USB-C charging port will be unable to make sales in Europe.

COMING FOR LAPTOPS TOO

Starting in 2026, this rule will also apply to laptops.
