Apple launches 'Ask' AI bot for support advisors

Apple, while planning to support AI features on iPhone devices with iOS 18, has launched an automated AI response bot named "Ask" for AppleCare employees.
The new AI tool can generate automatic responses to technical issues from customers, which AppleCare employees can then relay to customers in online chats or over the phone.
According to a report by MacRumors, Apple stated that it plans to make this AI tool available to more advisors in the future after gathering feedback.
The tech giant is expected to adopt generative AI in a significant way this year. iOS 18 is expected to include new AI features for Siri, Spotlight, Messages, Health, Numbers, Pages, Keynote, and many others.
Apple CEO Tim Cook stated that the company is working on generative AI and that they will share details later this year.
