Apple to discontinue more than 10 products
Apple is expected to make comprehensive changes to its current product lineup following its September 9 launch event. It is reported that more than 10 products, ranging from iPhones and Apple Watches to AirPods, HomePods, and Apple TVs, may be removed from official sale.
The major launch event Apple will hold on September 9 may not be limited to the introduction of new devices. In line with the product cycle the company follows every year, it is expected that some current models will be removed from official sales channels.
As reported by Shiftdelete.net, more than 10 products, from iPhones to wearable technology, audio accessories, and home electronics, could be removed from Apple's current portfolio after the event. This step is considered part of the company's strategy to make room for next-generation devices.

MODELS EXPECTED TO BE DISCONTINUED
Among the prominent models on the list are the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. When Apple introduces a new Pro series, it usually removes the previous generation of Pro models from official sale to simplify its product family.
The status of the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus appears more uncertain. While under normal conditions the arrival of a new base model would lead to the removal of older series from the portfolio, reports suggesting that the iPhone 18 and iPhone Air 2 models have been delayed until 2027 could change this picture.

For this reason, it is possible that Apple will keep the iPhone 16 family on sale for a while longer to offer users more affordable alternatives. Recent price increases may also influence the company's decision to keep certain products in the portfolio rather than removing older models entirely.

On the wearable technology side, it is stated that the Apple Watch Series 11 and Apple Watch Ultra 3 could give way to next-generation models. As for audio accessories, the AirPods 4 and AirPods 4 with ANC models are counted among the products that could be discontinued.

In the home electronics category, there is a similar expectation for the Apple TV 4K (3rd generation), HomePod mini (1st generation), and HomePod (2nd generation). The company's final decision will become clearer with the new products and pricing strategy to be announced at the event.
