Apple Vision Pro 2 release date announced!
Apple's 2nd generation Vision Pro headset is planned to be released between the fall of 2025 and the spring of 2026. While it is stated that the M5 chip could be used in the new model, it is claimed that the development of a more affordable version has been postponed to a later date.
Apple introduced its mixed reality headset, Vision Pro, last year and made it available for general sale in February 2024.
According to a report by Bloomberg, the 2nd generation Apple Vision Pro is expected to be released between the fall of 2025 and the spring of 2026.
MORE AFFORDABLE HEADSETS POSTPONED
As a reminder, supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reported last week that Apple has significantly postponed plans for a cheaper Apple Vision headset and will instead focus on the second-generation Apple Vision Pro, which is set to be released next year.

M5 CHIP MAY BE TESTED FOR THE FIRST TIME
Apple aims for a significant performance boost in the Vision Pro 2 by replacing the M2 chip with the upcoming M5 chip.
The first-generation Vision Pro was introduced with the M2, which was the most current chip at the time of its release; however, the subsequent release of the M3 and M4 chips shortly after caused the $3,500 mixed reality headset to fall slightly behind in terms of hardware.
Additionally, the design of the Apple Vision Pro 2 is expected to remain largely the same as the current generation Vision Pro.
