Apple Vision Pro shipment forecasts drop
Apple's Vision Pro shipment forecasts for 2024 have been halved due to a decline in demand before the device's international launch. Sales of the mixed-reality headset, which initially saw strong interest in the US, have fallen, and production has been halted.
Apple's shipment forecasts for the Vision Pro for 2024 have reportedly been reduced from 700,000-800,000 units to 400,000-450,000 units. This decline is attributed to a decrease in demand before the device was even released outside the US. The mixed-reality headset Vision Pro, which went on sale in the US in February with a $3,500 price tag, initially saw intense interest, but it has been observed that this interest has waned over time. There are also reports indicating that stores have noted very low demand.
According to the report in Webtekno, it was stated that Apple decided to halt production and reduce shipments due to the lack of demand. According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the tech giant stopped production and lowered shipment forecasts before even launching the device outside the US. Based on Kuo's sources, it was emphasized that Apple has reduced its 2024 sales volume forecasts to between 400,000 and 450,000, which represents a significant decrease compared to the company's previous plans of 700,000 to 800,000 units.
